City of Mendota Government

The City of Mendota operates by a Council-Manager form of government. Mendota has eight elected council members - two per each of the City's four wards. Council member elections are held every two years (even years), at which time half of the City Council is elected. The Mayor is elected at large every four years. The City Clerk is elected every 4 years.

 

The City Clerk's office is located at 800 Washington St.

Business hours are:

7:00am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday and

8:00am - Noon on Saturdays. 

The City of Mendota Council Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month, starting at 5:30pm.
Council meets at the City Council Chambers, located in the City of Mendota Police Department at 607 8th Ave., Mendota.

The elected council members determine policy and approve city spending.
