Water bill
Water bills can be made at City Clerk's Office during open office hours. Payments can be made using cash, check, or money order.
For after hours, a payment can be dropped in box located by the door on Illinois Ave.
Payments can also be set up for direct debit from a checking account. The form for setting this up is available at the City Clerk's Office or can be downloaded here.
Business Related Permits
Business, contractor, building, signage, and other permits can be obtained and purchased at the Clerk's Office. All permit forms can be found here for download.
Garbage Schedule
The garbage schedule can be picked up at the Clerk's office or download here.
Shelter and Park Reservations
Reservations for the shelters at the parks in Mendota can be made through the City Clerk's office (815-539-7459).
Cost is $50.00 to reserve and $25 is refunded if shelter is cleaned up after use.

Birth certificates / Death certificates
Certificates can be acquired at the Clerk's Office for $13.00 for the first and $7.00 for each additional.
Complete the form to request a birth certificate (click here) or death certificate (click here).
Mail forms and check or money order to City Clerk's office.
Dog Tags
ALL DOGS ARE REQUIRED TO BE REGISTERED IN THE CITY OF MENDOTA at the City Clerk's Office.
